Orange and poppy seed is a timeless classic and a great winter bake for peak citrus season. Blood oranges make a lovely twist on the classic and give such a different flavour.
I got all inspired reading the super feature on all things orange related in the most recent issue of Lunch Lady (@hellolunchlady) and had to whip this cake up!
p.s. For those waiting with baited breath.... yes, I have successfully returned from our first ski trip of the 2018 season injury free! Today I went to work instead of the ER!
